Sony Alpha A7 V Full Frame Mirrorless Camera (Body Only)

The Alpha 7 V combines the latest innovations in imaging technology with cutting-edge features from the flagship Alpha range to provide a new “standard” camera that’s anything but standard. Combining a brand-new 33-megapixel partially stacked CMOS sensor with the completely new BIONZ XR2 processor, the Alpha 7 V delivers unprecedented performance for both stills and video, matching flagship models in some areas while still offering exceptionally generous battery life and thermal performance.

Designed to satisfy a wide range of Alpha photographers, from professionals seeking an all-purpose performer to passionate amateurs who want to take their performance to the next level, the Alpha 7 V offers a feature set that excels in a wide range of shooting situations.

Exceptional Quality
Still photographers can look forward to a new level of robustness and clarity with 16 stops of dynamic range on the Alpha 7 V. This colossal depth of color gives the camera’s RAW files a level of robustness that can withstand even the most extreme adjustments in post-processing, making it perfect for the most exacting photographers.

Upgraded Image Stabilisation system
The Alpha 7 V utilises an upgraded 5-axis in-body image stabilisation system that delivers up to 7.5-step[1] stabilisation. An updated stabilisation algorithm paired with a high-precision gyro sensor provides precise detection and control right down to the single-pixel level, ensuring crisp and clear images, even with longer lenses at dawn and dusk.

4-axis multi-angle LCD monitor
The Alpha 7 V utilises the same 4-axis multi-angle LCD monitor system previously seen on the flagship Alpha 7R V models. The design can be freely adjusted in nearly any direction, providing excellent operability even in the most challenging situations.

AI-Enhanced Autofocus
Newly integrated into the BIONZ XR2 chip, the Alpha 7 V’s AI autofocus functions provide the same human pose estimation and subject detection options as the Alpha 1 II. Autofocus performance has also been upgraded, with 60 AF samples per second ensuring crisp, consistent focus even when shooting at 30 frames per second.

Powerful Video Capture
Boasting minimal rolling shutter thanks to its new fast-reading partially stacked Exmor RS CMOS sensor, the Alpha 7 V provides outstanding quality and reliability for video as well as stills. 4K 60p full-frame video is downsampled from 7K capture, ensuring exceptional detail, and the full suite of Sony recording options, including All-I, 10-bit and log recording capabilities, is available on board. As a result, the Alpha 7 V is ready to capture anything from professional A-roll to backyard memories. Slow-motion capture is also supported, with 4K 120p capture from APS-C.

OLED Viewfinder
Improvements to the processor and panel, along with AI-based white balance enhancements, provide a significantly upgraded viewfinder experience, with a relaxed eyepoint and full diopter control for glasses and contact lens wearers.
